Terms of Service

1. Nature of the service (Intermediary status)

KSM is an “intermediary” within the meaning of Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000. We provide a technology platform that enables individuals to voluntarily register and search for prospective lawful matrimonial alliances for themselves, primarily serving the Sambavar community of South Tamil Nadu. We do not act as a marriage broker, arranger, or agent of any Member, and we do not participate in or supervise communications, meetings, or decisions between Members.

Every profile is manually reviewed and must be approved by our team before it becomes visible in browse or search results. Approval is a basic quality and safety check only — it is not a verification, endorsement, or guarantee of any Member’s identity, character, marital status, health, financial position, or intentions.

2. Eligibility

Membership is reserved for, and by registering you confirm that you are:

• an Indian national/citizen, a Person of Indian Origin (PIO), a Non-Resident Indian (NRI), or a person of Indian descent or heritage;
• at least 18 years of age if you are a woman and at least 21 years of age if you are a man, being the minimum legal age of marriage in India;
• unmarried, divorced, widowed, or awaiting divorce, and otherwise legally competent to marry under the laws applicable to you; and
• registering with the bona fide intention of seeking marriage for yourself, or (as a Registrant) on behalf of a person who has consented to it.

Businesses, organisations, or persons carrying on a similar or competing activity may not register or use the Platform or any Member data for any commercial purpose. We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate membership at our discretion.

3. Registration, accuracy, and account security

1. You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information and to upload recent, genuine photographs of the actual person whose profile is being created. Photographs should not be more than three (3) months old.
2. If we find, or have reason to believe, that any information or photograph is false, misleading, impersonated, outdated, or belongs to a third party, we may — without notice — remove the content, suspend or terminate the profile, and forfeit any amounts paid, in addition to any other remedy available in law.
3. Duplicate profiles of the same person are not permitted and may be removed.
4. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials (email, password, OTP) confidential and for all activity under your account. We will never ask for your password. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
5. You must promptly delete or update your profile when your particulars change or when your marriage/alliance is finalised.

4. Member conduct and due diligence

Marriage is a serious, personal decision. You are solely responsible for independently verifying the credentials of any prospect — including identity, age, marital status, education, occupation, financial and health status, and character — and for exercising due care before proceeding. You agree to:

• involve your family and trusted persons in the match-making process and prefer in-person or video interactions before making any decision;
• never send or accept money, gifts, or financial help to or from any prospect, and never share bank details, OTPs, or other sensitive data;
• not use abusive, discriminatory, obscene, threatening, or unlawful language, and not harass any Member;
• not enter into any physical relationship with a prospect before marriage;
• not use bots, scrapers, or automated scripts, and not probe, scan, or attempt to breach the security of the Platform;
• report suspicious behaviour — such as requests for money or favours, refusal to meet or video-call, or contact from multiple numbers — using the in-app Report feature; and
• make all payments only through the Platform’s official payment channels, and never to any individual.

We provide Block and Report tools and per-item photo/document visibility controls so you can manage who interacts with you and what they can see. When you block a Member, neither of you will be shown the other’s profile in browse, search, or direct view, and neither can send you interest. Use these tools and the safety guidance to protect yourself.

5. Synthetically Generated Information (AI / deepfakes)

“Synthetically Generated Information” (SGI) means any audio, visual, or audio-visual content that is generated, manipulated, or altered using artificial intelligence or similar automated technologies, including deepfakes and AI-generated images. You must not upload, publish, or share SGI on the Platform. Uploading a photograph that is not a genuine, unedited image of the actual Member is a material breach of these Terms.

We may deploy reasonable technical measures to detect SGI and reserve the right to determine whether content qualifies as SGI. Content that impersonates any person, is deceptive or misleading, depicts any person in a sexually explicit manner without consent, or is otherwise unlawful is prohibited and may be removed, with the account suspended or terminated and, where required, reported to the competent authorities.

6. Your content, licence, moderation, and visibility

1. You are solely responsible for the profile details, photographs, documents, and messages you provide. You represent that you own or have all necessary rights and consents for this content.
2. By submitting content, you grant KSM a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and communicate that content to other Members and, where lawfully required, to courts and law-enforcement agencies, solely for the purpose of operating and improving the service.
3. We are not obliged to monitor content, but we may review, moderate, restrict, or remove any content or communication that we consider to violate these Terms or applicable law, and may suspend or terminate the account, without refund.
4. You control the visibility of each photo and verification document using the settings provided (e.g. “Visible to all” or “Visible after approval”). Documents are stored in encrypted form and remain hidden until you approve a request. You are responsible for the visibility choices you make.

7. Paid features, contact unlock, and payments

Core registration and searching are provided free of charge. Certain features — in particular unlocking and viewing another Member’s mobile number and any premium packages we may offer — are paid features.

1. Prices, applicable taxes, and any limits are displayed at the point of purchase. Access to a paid feature is subject to successful realisation of payment through our third-party payment gateway.
2. By purchasing a paid feature, you consent to sharing the minimum information (such as your mobile number) with the payment gateway for processing the transaction, transaction-related communication, and fraud prevention.
3. All payments are non-refundable. Fees paid for contact unlocks or any paid package cannot be refunded, transferred, assigned, or adjusted against any other product or package, except where a refund is required by applicable law. This applies even if the profile is later suspended or removed for breach of these Terms.
4. KSM does not guarantee any response, reciprocation, meeting, engagement, or marriage as a result of any paid feature.

8. No guarantee — disclaimer of warranties

The Platform and all services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, KSM disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. KSMdoes not warrant that the Platform is error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses. The exchange of any profile is not a matrimonial offer, recommendation, advice, or guarantee. KSM gives no guarantee or warranty of marriage, alliance, or any specific outcome. Your use of the Platform is at your sole risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KSM and the proprietor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising out of or connected with: any information provided by another Member; any decision you take based on it; any financial transaction with another Member or third party; any act, omission, impersonation, fraud, or misconduct of any Member or third party; any third-party service (such as horoscope matching) or payment gateway; any technical malfunction, network failure, or unauthorised access; or any event of force majeure.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, KSM’s total aggregate liability to you for any cause whatsoever, and regardless of the form of the claim, shall not exceed the amount actually paid by you to KSM for the specific paid feature giving rise to the claim, and no more.

10. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless KSM, its proprietor, employees, and partners from and against any loss, damage, liability, claim, or demand (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use or misuse of the service, your content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party. This obligation survives termination.

11. Disputes between Members

Members are solely responsible for their communications and interactions with one another, through any medium. KSM expressly disclaims responsibility for any transaction, exchange, or dispute between Members, has no obligation to monitor or mediate such disputes, and shall not be made a party to any dispute or litigation between Members.

12. Third-party links and services

The Platform may contain advertisements or links to third-party websites and may offer third-party services (such as horoscope matching). Such websites and services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. KSM does not endorse or certify them, and is not liable for them. You access them at your own risk. We may add, modify, or discontinue any feature of the Platform at any time without notice.

13. Suspension and termination

We may, in good faith and at our sole discretion, suspend, restrict, or delete your profile or terminate your membership — with or without notice — if you: seek physical or financial favours from Members; provide false or impersonated information; engage in fraudulent, unlawful, abusive, or harassing conduct; misuse another person’s identity or photographs; or breach these Terms.

If we act in good faith on a complaint received against you, we shall not be liable to you for any resulting loss. Filing a false complaint against another Member may result in suspension of your profile, forfeiture of amounts paid, and appropriate legal action. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law — shall survive.

14. Grievance redressal

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules thereunder, any complaint regarding content or another User — including content that is obscene, defamatory, infringing, impersonating, harmful to a child, or otherwise unlawful — may be sent in writing to our Grievance Officer:

We will acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and endeavour to resolve them within the timelines prescribed under applicable law.

15. Child safety (zero tolerance for CSAM)

The Platform is intended only for individuals aged 18 and above. We have a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content that depicts, promotes, or exploits children. Such content is strictly prohibited, will result in immediate termination of membership, and will be removed and reported to the competent authorities upon obtaining actual knowledge of it. You may report such content to support@kanyakumarisambavarmatrimony.com or to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and your use of the Platform are governed by the laws of India. You irrevocably agree that the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Platform.

17. Class-action waiver

You agree that you will not bring or participate in any class action or other representative proceeding against KSM. Disputes shall be resolved only on an individual basis.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with the “Last updated” date revised accordingly. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
